When You're Carrying More Than Most People Realise...

You might tell yourself you'll slow down later. You'll take care of yourself when things settle.

But life doesn't always settle before something else arrives.

Need a Moment was created for the middle of real life.

Life is made up of tough, beautiful and ordinary moments. How we move through them shapes how life feels.

When you're carrying a lot, the tough moments can seem like they far outweigh the rest. Even the ordinary and beautiful moments can seem heavier because of everything you're carrying and go by in a blur.

Need a Moment is a collection of short audio companions, each 1–5 minutes long, that guide you through your moments — whether that's preparing for how you want to show up, steadying yourself in the middle of it, putting it down afterwards, or slowing down enough to really soak it in.

It's micro support for the middle of real life, in moments you need it.

Because when you're carrying more than most people realise even the smallest addition of support can make such a difference to how it feels to be in it.

The hardest part isn't always the moment itself...

it's everything we carry afterwards.

The lingering feelings...

The looping thoughts...

The way we speak to ourselves....

The meaning we give it...

The conversation that follows you into the afternoon.

The email you keep replaying.

The mistake you can't stop thinking about.

The family tension you carry into dinner.

The endless mental load that never seems to switch off.

One difficult moment quietly becomes the next...

You become shorter with people you love.

You start feeling a distance from your friends, from yourself.

You find it harder to enjoy the good moments that are still here.

And if nothing changes, little by little, the emotional load builds quietly.

Moment after moment. Day after day.

 Year after year.

But change doesn't have to begin with something big.

Sometimes it begins with a few minutes of support.

We often underestimate the ripple effect of small moments of support.

How they can help soften what we're carrying.

How they can help change what we take into the next moment.

One difficult moment doesn't have to become your whole day.

Imagine this...

You've just closed the laptop after another difficult meeting.

Or you've finally made it back to the car after a hard appointment.

Or everyone's gone to bed and you're realising how much you've been holding in all day.

Normally...

this is where your mind keeps going.

Replaying.

Overthinking.

Trying to solve everything.

Instead...

you press play.

For the next few minutes...

you don't have to know what to do.

You don't have to make yourself feel better.

You simply let someone help you carry this moment.

Nothing about your circumstances has changed.

But something inside you has.

You feel a little steadier.

A little lighter.

A little more able to choose what you carry into what comes next.

Sometimes...

that's enough.

What is Need a Moment?

Need a Moment is a collection of 15 short audio companions, each 1–5 minutes long, that guide you through the tough, beautiful and ordinary moments that shape how life feels.

They're made for before, during and after moments inside seasons where you're already carrying a lot, when you need support the most but you don't have the time, energy or brain space to remember everything that's supposed to help.

The audios aren't season-specific. They're moment-specific. You bring your own story.

Whether that's care-giving, health challenges, relationships shifting, work pressure...

The reason you're carrying so much doesn't have to look the same as anyone else's.

Whatever has brought you here...

whether it's one overwhelming season, several overlapping ones, or simply life feeling heavier than it used to...

these moments are for you.

You don't have to talk yourself out of how hard this is.

You can gently support yourself while you're living through it.

Need a Moment is what I wish I'd had years ago, and what I'm so thankful to have now.

Each companion is a calm, spoken experience designed to help you either:

Prepare for how you show up— before something difficult, or something you want to be present for.

Steady yourself — when you're in the middle of it and don't want things to spill over.

Put it down — afterwards, so the moment doesn't follow you through the rest of your day.

Soak it in — when you want to slow down enough to really receive something beautiful.

And because they're spoken rather than written, you don't have to generate the words yourself when your mind is already full. You don't have to do anything.

You simply listen.

A look inside...
See the collection, and hear a little of what it actually sounds like.

Moments when you might press play...

Why I created this

I'm Krystal, and I know what it's like to move through overlapping seasons that quietly ask more of you than you ever imagined.

Like many women, I kept telling myself I just needed to push through.

For years, I carried the emotional weight of trying to have a baby. Then came the anxiousness of a surprise high-risk pregnancy. Then the enormous and overwhelming transition into motherhood in my forties. Before long, I was being blindsided by toddler meltdowns while also navigating perimenopause, building a business, and trying so hard to be the kind of parent and partner I wanted to be.

Each season brought something different.

But the emotional load didn't disappear when one season ended.

It simply followed me into the next.

I'd studied so much about emotional wellbeing — I even completed a counselling diploma, though I never went on to practice, and all the things I knew could help felt like one more thing I couldn't keep up with.

I realised I didn't need more strategies.

I needed support that was easier to access than my overwhelm.

So I created one short audio.

Not to fix everything.

Just to help me through one difficult moment.

The difference I felt after just a few minutes surprised me.

I felt steadier.

More connected.

A little more like me again.

I found there was something very different about hearing the words spoken to me instead of trying to find them myself while my mind was racing.

Over time I created more companions.

And something began quietly shifting.

I noticed moments more. I noticed my feelings more.

I was moving through my days more intentionally.

Ordinary moments felt lighter. I felt lighter.

I found every time I pressed play, it was a little reminder to myself that I mattered too.

Even my inner voice began to change.

The same gentle reminders I'd been listening to started showing up when I needed them most—even when the audio wasn't playing.

That's when I realised these few minutes were doing far more than helping me through difficult moments.

They were changing how I moved through my days.

That's what I hope these moments become for you too.

A place to return to whenever this life asks a little more of you.

To help you feel a little supported today. And for whatever comes next.

___________________________

Life is already asking a lot of you

You can't always choose what life has in store for you.

But you can choose how supported you are through it and how much of this moment you carry into the next one.

When another appointment ends...

another meeting isn't what you hoped...

another argument starts...

another night feels longer than usual...

when you think, "I need a moment" — you don't have to work out what to do next.

You already know: you can just press play.

I know how heavy it can feel to be carrying a lot. But often nothing changes until you decide it does.

I've tried to make this as easy as possible — not just to get started, but to actually support yourself in the middle of real life.
