The patient version. The calm one. The one who pauses before reacting.
But when you're flooded, knowing how you'd like to respond and being able to access it are two different things.

You don't need another parenting lesson
You probably already know the things you want to do differently.
You know patience matters. You know connection matters. You know you don't want to shout.
And then the actual moment happens.
Calm.
Calm.
Calm.
Then
WHOOSH
Gone.
The right words arrive ten minutes later, usually when you're standing in the shower thinking, Why couldn't I just do that?
You're not short on information. You're short on support in the middle of real-life.
You're probably carrying a lot. Feeling stretched. And that can reduce your capacity to show up the way you want to.
Knowing something and being able to access that knowledge when you're flooded are two completely different things. What's missing is something to help bridge that gap, so you can come back to yourself and have the capacity to choose how you show up, right when it matters.
That's what these companions are for.

What kind of moments are the hardest right now?
I'm about to... have a hard conversation. Walk into something I don't want to face. Do something I'm nervous about.
I'm in the middle of... feeling overwhelmed. Losing my patience. Spinning and can't stop.
I just... snapped at someone I love. Had a moment I'm not proud of. Been holding it together for everyone else.
I want to... put this day down before bed. Feel steadier. Slow down and be more present in my own life. Remember who I actually want to be.
Whichever one or more are needed right now — there's an audio companion to guide you through.
Life is made up of tough, beautiful and ordinary moments.
And how we move through those moments – before, during and after – quietly shapes how life feels.

So what do you actually do?
You start where you are.
Notice what's happening. It might be before, during or after a moment.
Ask yourself: Do you need a moment? It might be to prepare, to steady yourself, to put something down or soak it in.
Then press play.
Each companion is just 1–5 minutes long, so you don't need an hour to yourself, a quiet room or perfect conditions.
You can listen while you're making dinner, sitting in the car, walking around the house or trying to get through the next five minutes while someone is still calling your name.
Sometimes the first step is simply to stop adding to the load you're already carrying and to start by pressing play after you've already snapped, lost your patience or had a moment you wish had gone differently. To have a tough moment, not a bad day.
The after companions give you somewhere to go after the reaction — a chance to meet yourself with compassion, settle yourself and repair where you need to, rather than replaying the moment for the rest of the day.
Then, over time, you may start noticing your moments earlier.
I'm getting prickly. I'm bracing for this. I'm running out of patience.
Do you need a moment?

What this actually looks like...
I knew I should pause before reacting. I'd try so hard — be calm, be calm, be calm — and then, whoosh, I'd lose my patience. Then the guilt would come and I'd be hard on myself for the rest of the day.
So I started with the audios for after moments, just to put the moment down instead of adding it to my load. And I was surprised by what a difference just a few minutes made. I felt steadier. I'd caught the spiral before it gathered momentum.
Then I added in a few before-audios... taking a couple of minutes just for me, before bed to let the day go, before the day gathered speed, and one anytime favourite to build a bit of self-compassion; When you're carrying more than most people realise.
And then came the first time I caught myself in it...
It had been raining for days. The dog needed a walk. So did I. I bundled my four-year-old and myself into raincoats and off we went — them on their bike, me with an umbrella in one hand and the dog's lead in the other. The dog kept twisting round my legs, my little one kept drifting into my path, and I could feel the prickliness building.
We got home. My little one wanted to play — and I could see exactly where the morning was heading if I didn't check in with myself first.
So I said, "I just need a moment," put my headphones in, and stood in the kitchen with When You're Feeling Prickly, Reactive or Overwhelmed.
Four minutes later, I felt steadier. We played, we connected, and it turned into a beautiful morning. I even played an acknowledge-yourself audio that night before bed — because being able to show up the way I wanted to felt so good.
Life itself hadn't suddenly changed.
But when I started supporting myself through it, it felt completely different.

How it works...
You press play – before, during or after a moment. A calm, steady voice meets you exactly where you are — no fixing, no figuring out what's wrong first.
You don't need to be alone or still.
A few minutes later, nothing about your day has changed. But something in you has.
You feel a little steadier. A little more centred. You can hear yourself again.
And from that place, it's easier to show up the way you want to and choose what comes next.

Is this therapy?
No. It's not trying to fix you or replace professional support. It's a way to come back to yourself in the minutes real life actually gives you.
Do I have to listen every day?
No. There's no streak, no schedule. Use it when you need it — that might be daily, or once a fortnight.
What if I don't know which one I need?
You don't have to. Start with whichever moment feels truest right now, or with whichever title catches something in you. There's no wrong door in.
